Grotesque tells the story of a policeman left disoriented after a violent clash in the square—a head injury erasing his sense of allegiance. In his confusion, he becomes both authority and crowd, aggressor and victim at once. The void turns into opportunistic neutrality: the need to stand with the “right” side, whichever that may be. Collective identity swallows the individual, reducing everyone to a uniform. The grotesque emerges from this rupture: an everyday scene in bourgeois society that, through its excess and imbalance, slips into the absurd.
A fast-paced bluesy riff is supported by a silly guitar lick—every instrument interacts with the others like they’re part of two different sides, deciding to collaborate in a spiraling refrain before joining all together at the end for a fuzzy bombastic finale.
